Job Description
Job Title:  Manager - Fire & Safety

• Review new projects drawings and recommending structural fire safety norms as per NBC-2016 and implementation.
• Estimate Fire safety system budget and review BOQ.
• Conducting periodical group level Risk committee meetings and updating the risk appetite and mitigation measures.
• Conduct fire safety inspection and audits for all facilities, identify any potential breaches of fire and life safety standards and norms initiate corrective actions.
• Conducting Building evacuation drills and exercises at units.
• Preparing and updating departmental standing operating procedures.
• Disaster management planning and preparedness.
• Training and Education of staff and working community of organization.
• Identify technical fire safety gaps and coordinate with respect project MEP, IT, Interior consultants to initiate fire safety compliance as per statutory norms.
• Coordinating with project managers, Fire vendors of respective projects to guide the fire safety work execution without deviations and monitoring the work progress (as per shop drawings and statutory compliance)
• Testing and commissioning of the installed fire detection and fire protection systems for all new projects and handover to operational team.
• Maintaining, EHS standards specified under ISO 14001, ISO 45001 management system as well as system and actions required for maintaining Occupational Health, Safety & Environment Policy
• Knowledge on Building Fire and Life safety codes and regulations Including NBC-2016, Bureau of Indian standards and TAC
• Knowledge on NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) code and standards
• Ensure implementation of Process Safety Standards
• Control and monitoring work permit system (Hot wok and confined space)
• Ensure all the incidents and near miss are reported, investigated and compliance of corrective and preventive action. Ensure learning from incidents are shared to other units of NLL.
• To organize in association with the concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities, which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedures.

Must Haves: -
• Should be a B.Tech / M.Tech
• 10 to 15 years of prior similar Experience
• Prior work experience in Fire Safety
